Who should choose Medixar, and who shouldn't
Medixar is likely a good fit if
- You run more than a consultation room. An in-house pharmacy with stock and expiry, lab and imaging orders, a cashier and GST returns all work from the same record as the doctor's note.
- You have, or plan to have, beds. IPD, bed management and the operating theatre are on Medixar's Hospital tier, in the same product.
- You practise Ayurveda or another AYUSH system. Six systems with their own assessments and consultation forms, Panchakarma plans with therapist and room booking, and AYUSH billing with SAC and HSN codes.
- You want the price up front. Medixar's plans are on the pricing page, from a free tier to ₹24,999 a month.
Eka Care may suit you better if
- You need production ABDM exchange now. Eka Care shows "NHA Approved" and "ABDM Compliant" badges and offers ABHA-based patient verification and consent-based record exchange. Medixar links ABHA numbers today; its ABDM exchange is built against the sandbox and not yet certified for production.
- You dictate in several Indian languages. Eka Care states its AI scribe works in 15+ Indian languages. Medixar's voice-to-SOAP uses OpenAI Whisper, which recognises many Indian languages, but we publish no list.
- You want installable apps. Eka Care lists Android, iOS, Mac and Windows apps. Medixar is used through a web browser.
- You want a widely used tool. Eka Care states "33K+" clinics and hospitals and "90K+" doctors onboarded. Medixar is new and publishes no customer count.

What Medixar does
- Front desk — appointments with provider and room availability, plus a token queue per department with a waiting-room display that shows token numbers, never names.
- Clinical record — one encounter workspace for notes, vitals, diagnoses and orders (AI suite).
- Pharmacy — a prescription is held if its interaction check cannot run; earliest-expiring stock goes first (pharmacy).
- Billing — GST by place of supply, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation, pre-authorisations and payer contracts (billing).
- Hospital — IPD, beds, theatre and reports across branches (for hospitals).
- AYUSH — all six systems and Panchakarma, in the same record as allopathic care (for AYUSH).
Moving over
There is no Eka Care connector, and no self-serve import of patient lists or past records yet. Tell us what your current system can export and we will say plainly what can come across before you commit. A patient's ABHA number can be linked again at their next visit. If you ever leave Medixar, an admin can export patients, encounters and invoices as CSV.
