What a Kerala practice gets
OPD tokens and a waiting-room screen
Reception issues a token per department; the next one is called in order, and a token can be skipped or cancelled. A display page for a wall-mounted TV shows token numbers only, never patient names.
GST on every bill
CGST + SGST or IGST is decided from the place of supply on each line, so the cashier never has to work it out.
ABHA on the patient record
Link a patient's ABHA number to their record at intake. The ABDM consent and record-exchange flows are built against the ABDM sandbox; production certification is pending.
Ayurveda and Panchakarma
Ayurveda consultations, Prakriti assessment, Panchakarma therapy plans with therapist and room booking, and AYUSH prescriptions in the same product as your allopathic OPD.
The OPD, the way Kerala runs it
Most clinics here still run on tokens rather than fixed appointment slots, and many run both. Medixar supports the two side by side: booked appointments in the scheduler, walk-ins through the token queue.
- Token per department — issued at the counter and called in order, with skip and cancel.
- Waiting-room display — a full-screen page for a TV in the waiting area, refreshing every few seconds, showing token numbers and nothing that identifies a patient.
- Estimated wait — worked out from the length of the queue and how long recent consultations have taken.
- From token to chart — when the doctor starts a token, the visit opens in the clinical workspace; prescriptions go to the pharmacy and charges to billing.
GST, without the guesswork
A Kerala clinic's bill can carry an exempt consultation, a taxable pharmacy item and a patient from another state on the same invoice. Medixar decides CGST + SGST or IGST from the place of supply and prepares GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data from the bills themselves. For Ayurveda practices, automatic AYUSH billing tags each line with its SAC or HSN code and treats consultations and Panchakarma sessions as exempt healthcare services.
The details are on the billing page, and our guide GST for clinics and hospitals walks through what is exempt, what isn't, and when IGST applies.
ABHA and ABDM: what works today
When a patient arrives with an ABHA number, Medixar links it to their record at intake. The ABDM consent and health-record exchange flows (HIP and HIU) are built and tested against the ABDM sandbox; Medixar is not yet certified for production ABDM exchange. If live exchange is a requirement for you, ask us where certification stands before you sign.

Ayurveda, Panchakarma and integrated practice
An Ayurveda clinic, or a hospital with an Ayurveda wing, should not have to run a second system for it. Medixar's AYUSH module covers all six AYUSH systems, with Panchakarma therapy plans, therapist and room booking that cannot double-book, Bhasma batch tracking and interaction checks between Ayurveda and allopathic prescriptions. See Medixar for AYUSH for the full workflow.
Malayalam, and support from Kochi
Malayalam interface, in preview
Once your admin turns on the language switcher, each user can change the app to Malayalam. The translation is still being reviewed, so some screens read roughly; English is the default. Patient names and notes in Malayalam script are stored as typed.
Built and run from Kochi
Medixar is developed and operated by Daiviksoft Technologies from Vennala, Kochi. The people who answer your questions are the people who build the product.

Which plan fits
A single doctor can start on the Free tier or the Practice tier. Multi-doctor clinics usually take Clinic; hospitals with wards, beds and several departments take Hospital. Prices are in rupees and listed on the pricing page. Depending on your size, you may also want Medixar for solo doctors, for clinics or for hospitals.
