A MocDoc alternative: one product from OPD to wards, with published prices.

MocDoc is an established hospital and clinic software vendor from Chennai, with separate products for clinics, hospitals, labs and pharmacies. Medixar runs the clinic, the pharmacy, billing, IPD and AYUSH care as one product on one patient record, built in Kochi, with prices in rupees on the website. This page says honestly when each is the better choice.

Who should choose Medixar, and who shouldn't

Medixar is likely a good fit if

  • You want to see the price before the demo. Medixar's plans are on the pricing page: a free tier, then ₹999, ₹4,999 and ₹24,999 a month.
  • You run AYUSH care beyond a consultation template. Six AYUSH systems with their own assessments and prescriptions, Panchakarma plans with therapist and room booking, and AYUSH billing with SAC and HSN codes.
  • You want clinic and hospital on one record. OPD, pharmacy, lab and imaging orders, billing, IPD and beds share the patient, so a clinic that adds beds stays on the same system.
  • You are in Kerala. OPD tokens with a waiting-room display, support from the team that builds the product in Kochi, and a Malayalam interface in preview.

MocDoc may suit you better if

  • You need production ABDM exchange now. MocDoc states it has a "Certified ABDM Connector". Medixar links ABHA numbers today, but its ABDM exchange is built against the sandbox and not yet certified for production.
  • You run a dental, eye, IVF or standalone lab practice. MocDoc lists dedicated dental, ophthalmology, ART and laboratory products. Medixar has no dental charting or ophthalmology exam workflow yet.
  • You want a vendor with a long customer list. MocDoc states "1500+ Customers" across 10+ countries. Medixar is new and publishes no customer count.
  • You need TPA claims handled in the software. MocDoc lists insurance and B2B settlements among its features. Medixar records pre-authorisations and payer contracts; TPA claim submission is not in the product yet.

Side by side

MocDoc's column uses only what MocDoc says on its own website. "Not stated" means we did not find it there, not that the product lacks it.

What Medixar does

Moving over

There is no MocDoc connector, and no self-serve import of patient lists or past records yet. Tell us what your current system can export and we will say plainly what can come across before you commit. On the Hospital tier, onboarding includes data migration from your existing system and staff training. If you ever leave Medixar, an admin can export patients, encounters and invoices as CSV.
